Hi all, I had a problem with my engine check light flashing, their is nothing worse than driving your pride and joy which you spend all your hard earned money on, then you look at your speedo and notice a orange light with a picture of an engine on it flashing. MY heart sank firstly because of the expence and partly the fact i was doing 70 ish on the motorway miles from home, it flashed for a few mins the went off then flashed again then went a few days without flashing, then flashed again. I booked it in with the Nissan garage and after all the lovelly car mate and how nice it sounds jargon they finally ran a diagnostic check and it came up with no problems.The chap said it might be a few things (1) It is running to rich (2) when i had my Clifford avant guard 4 intelli start alarm fitted they could have pulled out a wire or (3) It was left in diagnostic mode which he checked and said it was'nt. He said i could book it in and they could drive it find out when the light comes on check it with the manual and so on untill the find something, he said i was looking at £500 plus. So as it was'nt causing any problem apart from an annoying flashing light i took out the bulb.But has any one else experienced this problem on their Z? But i will need to put bulb back in one day in case i do have a serious engine problem. :confused: :confused:

disconect the batt for a hour to reset ecu,then see if it still does it,iff it does try and find somone near you with conzult to run a test---youll get more responce iff ya throw some money into club dude(ie--subscribe)

Cheers fo that mate, as for suscribing what are the bennefits apart from the one you listed? i was a z club member for a while and i got the monthly mag but it mostly contained articles on the old zx,s and the sunnys so i did'nt bother renewing membership.
