noisey cambelt tensioner or wot

hi there guys, as anybody had or got as above,my 93tt with 79,000km makes a whirling noise that changes pitch with a rpm increase, its like a cambelt thats to tight but mines ok.so the logical next thing would be the tensioner,what i wanna know is do these things whine before they throw there hand in ??????

    Yes they do. Change them all at the same time to save hassle when another one starts whining later on.

    it could also be the alternator, waterpump etc. id just remove all the aux v belts 1st then run her up to confirm.
