Just celaning the car and found the the drivers footwell carpet soaked. I lifted the carpet to find I could squeeze the water out. It's deffo not the T bar drains as the water flows freely through there and out the bottom. So 2 questions:

1. Has anyone else had this problem?

2. does the carpet continue under the stereo surround (so the 2 footwells are connected) or does it seperate in the middle?

Cheers

I had this after my alarm fitter accidentally disconnected a pipe in the passenger footwell (aircon condensor?)

Reconnected and all was dry again...

think I was missing the point! I take it the water is from the car washing? In which case, I haven't seen that problem! Although my slight leak seems to have moved from the drivers side to the passenger side - strange.

Sorry, not being much help

Ah, hope its not that. :( It was a job I was dreading. I did find an imaginative solution though. Crashed the car with the duff matrix and replaced it with a car with a working one - sorted! but a bit drastic.

Hi Vijay

I had same with passenger side and it was the matrix, but before the wet carpet came a real strong smell of hot anti-freeze and it did overheat.

Just a thought but has it rained recently?

I really don't think it's the matrix as I'm not losing any water from the rad and the water is just that - water. It's not realy rained in the last few day but I think water that gets in, can't come out. So I assume it's from all the rain/snow we've had recently.

well I found the leak, all I can say is I'd love to get the person who installed my alarm!!!! He/She decided to make a massive whole in the bulhead to get a cable through and then fill it with mastic. Well the mastic must have split cos it was leaking in badly. I've spent today pulling out the carpet so I can dry it out as there was a puddly on the floor :(
