Just wondering if you can jump start from Zeds :confused: or will it do damage to the electric's and alternator?

 

Havn't had to do it yet but just in case theirs a damsel in distress would be handy to know. ;)

 

Im guessing not coz there so finicy on electrics although normally u wouldnt think twice if it was a banger (car that is) :x: :D

Yup thats right....I wanna know if i can use my car with jump leads to start another car thats Flat.

 

Also....what about jumping my car from another car...

Dont forget to earth the negative lead on part of the body or engine instead of battery.

ive jump-started a toyota successfully before (oh if only it was a supra ;) ) - was more worried about blowing his engine up! :D

Course you can push start a turbo car :confused: Its AUTOS you can't push start ;) More reason to convert...... :rofl:

Just keeps the spark if there is one away from the gasses from the battey. Just a fire saftey reason.

Strictly speaking, you shouldn't push start a car with cats... but to be honest who gives a f*** if they get broke - decent excuse to get rid!!

Yeah, that's true but it's probably OK if you don't make a habit of it. I had to push start my old Renault once when the crankshaft position sensor died. Cat was fine.
