With lots of chat going down about the general poor quality (being V polite) of the Zeds headlights - I decided to have a look around good old Harry Halfords, and came across some 130watt - single wire bulbs with the correct shell/fitting. Soldered on the earth plugged it all in and bingo - bloody hell - I can see. Cost me £10 squids for the pair. I cant believe it's this simple - have I missed something, do they only last 1 week, or self destruct at a given speed during a badly lit hairpin? HELP I'm loosing sleep?

Try www.fosmo.com for bulbs. Great prices and the sell the ones that came out tops in the AutoExpress test.(Free postage and usually next day delivery too)

130w, that's a lot more than stock... i'd like to try it but wont it melt the wires with that many amps... seriously?????

 

Anyone got bulbs like the ones on the left in this pic... they are the wrong ones for my UK car (I have 2x100w and 2x80w), they are no good to me, I can't send them back to the states.

Jeff, stay calm - I'm gonna do your mod as well!

 

I'm not sure though yet - that I can gaurantee that I can get my headlamps out - and back in again without brealing some adjusters - DOH. I have a Strosek front end, just to make life easier!!!! Waiting for some more feedback/photos m8.

Excuse my ignorance guys but I’ve just been on the fosmo.com site and really don’t know where to start. Sine my car is at SE being fixed I can’t check to see what type of bulbs are currently fitted but still want replacement brighter bulbs, so……….

 

A.What’s the model type of main & dip bulbs fitted to a UK spec.

B.Which make and type bulbs are recommended.
