What I want to know is.....

why is it, that despite the sheer numbers of miles that I do in my Zed and that amounted to just over 600 last weekend alone, do I rarely see any other Zeds about, but the minute I take the Peugeot out, I see 2 in 3 days....

First one was Monday night, on the M25. Metallic grey Jap import G*** BGS - turned off towards Hemel.

Second was this morning, black Jap import G*** X(something - XMS? Can't remember, I was too busy sobbing because I wasn't in my Zed...) who turned off at Jcn 1 A14.

I know exactly what you mean =)

In just over a year of Z ownership, I've encountered about 5 other Z's on the road while I've been in mine. Over the same period the total number of sightings, usually while driving my girlfriend's 306 or as a passenger, is closer to 15 or 20!

Actually, just this morning (when in the 306 - grr!) I spotted a Z I've never seen in the area before. Couldn't see the age, but it was sporting a big rear spoiler and was a very nice sort of azure blue - never seen the colour on a Z before.

Raz

What's Azure ? Is that like mine ?

These are pretty rare :-

This _may_ be a strange syndrome.

I too like you two have a Peugeot (309 GTI, great fun!) - and I too see loads of Zeds when driving it. 2 in one day just pottering around the isle of wight.

It's weird and merits the attentions of Sculder and Mully methinks smile.gif

Glen

Andy, in that pic your car looks almost identical to mine, which I think is the drop-dead gorgeous Sapphire Blue cool.gif

No, this Z I saw was a fair bit lighter in colour, like a deep sky blue.

Raz

I think the official name is something like graphite blue pearl. The colour code is TK3 and I can't find any touch up paint for it !

Andy, TK3 is Marine Blue Graphite Pearl. I got touch up paint kit from my local Nissan dealer Part# KE998-TK325AA.

I was beginning to think mine was kinda unique until I saw the picture above... Same colour as mine, only I have a very low body kit all round... Pain in the butt with all the speed humps in the Surbiton Area.... It's always the same with me. I have only ever seen a woman driving a silver one while driving mine, When I'm in the girl friends car I see loads...

The reason for this would be that most Z onlys drive their other car more often/for londer periods than the Z. Whereas I on the other hand only drive the Z (I don't have another car) and infact spotted another Z today and he let me turn right, very thoughtful. It was red with an Evo rear spoiler...I think it's N/A....shame. It looked pretty smart....The state that it's in I reckon he probably has another car as well.

Van

PS WEll, we could have a unique way of flashing at Z drivers whilst driving a different car. How about....one flash for 3secs and a 0.5sec flash?????? ie _____ _

Yep, same here, have seen loads of Z's until recently! Bummer! biggrin.gif

Best "Who was it?" for me which actually paid off was a red Nelson Priemera GT on the M6 in Brum just outside the RAC centre a few months back.

So what's special about that you ask?

LMAO biggrin.gif It had TopSquads stickers all over it which was a bit of a give-a-way really! Turned out to be Mat Lads best mate I think...class! wink.gif

Not me - given even the most flimsy of excuses I am in the Zed and driving...it's actually quite heart-breaking to have to drive the company Peugeot to work... and even then I have to go home midweek and pick my Zed up - I suffer withdrawal symptoms, dontcha know ! biggrin.gif

Something about putting your foot down in a Zed and leaping forward, no questions asked and doing the same thing in the Pug and getting a panicked cry of "What? Accelerate Now? Are you sure? Can we not discuss this? Have a few meetings to sort out whether this move is in fact wise??"

Peugeot - the Car Equivalent of Windows....

"Are you sure you want to delete that file? Are you positive? Have you thought this through thoroughly? This file? Now are you certain?..."

biggrin.gif ROFL biggrin.gif

Yeah, I hated that in the Kirk, outside lane of the motorway and some muppet in front that won't get out the way! Just had to get on with it!

But in Twin Tub, "I don't care if you are in an SLK? See ya!" on the undertake in the middle lane...then take another 6 or 7 cars at the same time just to rub it in! wink.gif

It's good to be back in a Telly Tubby Turbo beast wink.gif

Ajay,

And even then it doesn't delete it, just kinds of hides it somewhere for later ! frown.gif

I'll go for Po, then - the only TellyTubby to mix when she dances. All she needs is the one hand up by her ears, simulating headphones and she's there. She also kickboxes when she gets too excited. Not that I ever watch the Tellytubbies of course....

Or at least it usually finds me horizontal on a sofa being a child bench talking to mother of said sprogs while it is on... Honestly. biggrin.gif

Plus my car is red and I'm probably the shortest forum member on here at only 5' 6" so Po it is biggrin.gif

Cheerz

Anita.

True...and then months later you can look in the Registry and find that it has assigned your HKEY LOCAL MACHINE to a word document or something that you deleted....

Or Helpful Harry FindFast pops up and complains that it can't find xxx.doc, but it has found a very close match in regedit32.exe - would you like to point the file to that instead? biggrin.gif

That'd make me La-La then? biggrin.gif

Do I need to explain that to everybody...LMAO biggrin.gif

Ooohh! I've been toying with the thought of putting an Evo-style wing on the Z for a while but haven't seen anywhere offering them. Does anyone know of any places selling such a beastie? Hopefully this guy's wasn't a custom job.

The new Evo rear wings look great... though I'd want to see it in situ on a Z first though!

Saw one at SE last Friday, personally I don't like it but personal choice I guess wink.gif

I agree with Van. We need a secret flashing system when we are in a stealth car but I feel that flashing is not enough.

It has to be something really unique!...say, hazards on with 3 short main beam flashes?

Was that the trendy adjustable one with the polished metal plate in it ?

Yep, think so, was parked at an angle with mine just before the ramp with the GTi-R on. Was it a purple monster? I think it was wink.gif

So you'll get all that in when we're hurtling towards each other on a motorway, say you're doing 80 and I'm doing 80 mph means we should pass at a combined speed of 160 mph???

Man, you'll be lucky to get one short flash off!!! LMAO biggrin.gif

VW Beetle crowd make a sign with their hand, they hold in the two middle fingers and stick out their thumb wiggling it! Supposed to resemble a "W" sign I suppose...I use my own unique sign aswell to many other drivers...mine can only be described as accusing the other driver of being a right Leo!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

OK then.THere's always someone to prove your theory wrong (thanks Ajay). Another reason, you drive TOO BLOODY FAST to notice any other Z and too busy grinning from ear to ear, LOL.

oh yes...that could definitely be it biggrin.gif According to one of my friends I even reverse at Mach 10 smile.gif

I don't go through what you guys are talking about really, I live in Sarasota which i believe is one of the top 10 richest cities in America, I see a Z almost everyday here, atleast 4 days in a week for sure.

I guess it does'nt help 3 of my friends have a Z, all not twin turbo though :d

I love my Z only twin turbo manual Z i've seen in my city regardless smile.gif
