I want to change the lights behind the dials to red (, whats the best option, covers for the bulbs (red) or LEDs?

I beleive you can just use glass paint :)

The paint that B&Q sells to go on glass to give the coloured lead glass effect can be used, remove the blue plastic cover on the bulb and paint the colour you want.

or get some nice indiglo dials ..........

Chopper where did you get these bulbs? Can you get them in red?

 

I did my clusters with Leds from maplin...cheap as chips and much nicer...i wonder if i can do the same thing again?

To be honest mate they were already on the car when i got it, but having recently taken the dash off they look like maplins/RS stuff - little resistors with the LED attatched. I reckon it would be easy to do.

I did have a pic but i cant find the bloody thing - sorry

Read two posts above Mark - already on the car when i got it - but you can get em from maplins/RS components or any eleccy wholesaler

Hi I managed to get bright LED's that look the same as a 501 replacement bulb

About £5 the pair .look good work well and the dimmer still works
