Snapped belt(s) - what is it?

I was fixing a dodgy injector connector today and noticed one of the belts on the underdrive pulley(?) has broken - which belt is it? (I know, it's the knackered one :p )

Also, is it more than one belt that has gone? There are two left intact on the u/d pulley, but I'm more than a bit concerned about the lack of belt in pic number two.

Looks like the air-con belt to me, rust on the pully been gone some time too

Pic two is defo the Air-Con unit!!!!

Not essential, unless you want air-con :D

Thank f*** for that! - cheers mate. Can breathe a sigh of relief about that one! Any ideas about the other?

Or does the one belt run from the u/d pulley to the aircon?

Your main pulley will only have three belt locations on it. As long as the other two have a belt on them then it's just the air-con one that has gone.

Sorry, cant really tell from the pic.

Yes :D

There are two other belts on the u/d :)

Thanks guys for the replies - it means I can postpone the imminent coronary until another day!

Looks like I need to get the belts replaced then, to be on the safe side. Need to buy another pack of cigarettes too, as I've just gone through most of a pack after seeing that knackered belt!

If, as is usual, the belt has been taken off, because the unit needs regarssed, and i thas been off for some time, the aircon unit might well have seized up (which the do if left empty)
