does anyone know roughly what it cost's to have it repaired or replaced.i've found a company that will repair it if i give them the prop £50 which isn't too bad but not sure how much work is involved in getting it off.don't really want to attempt it myself.

i get a vibration from below the drivers seat above 35 mph and it seems to die down after driving for ages.do you think it's the prop?

cheers.

had similar prob when i go over 90mph , spoke to Ryan @ ztech who thinks too its the prop bearing and he's sorting mine for me. Give him a call mate

in my hunble experience, you need to drop a cat clean out, and then drop the full exhaust system ( which means you need the car up in the air a fair bit, both ends) then remove the heatsheild, the centre bearing bolts, then the prop bolts. But, and its a biggy, if your exhaust bolts are rusted/ rounded/ fooked, it'll take ages. HTH

....and when the centre bearing is responsible for vibrations generally 40 - 60 ish and especially when cold it isnt actually the bearing itself thats stuffed. It is the the rubber bellows that supports and centres it. After 10+ years it is harder than a witches t1t and usually has perished and cracked up leaving the bearing sagged on the bottom of the mount transmitting vibes thru the body.

A new bearing costs £135-£150 and it usually needs about 3 hours labour to change it.

Exhausts to drop and the centre of the prop to be split requiring an impact wrench on the big nut.

I bodged mine up for a while before doing it right by jacking up the centre of the prop and temporarily packing the centre bearing with rubber strip about 1/4 in thick tucked into the bellow part on the underneath side. It works loose after a few months but otherwise works
