UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE21st May 2005

 

Looking to set up club stand for this year, again in conjuction with the Zclub.

 

Please let me know if you are interested in attending and if you want to be on the club stand and if you want a Track Session.

 

This is now being arranged through Suzy at Z-Club, i will chat to her and update in next few days on what you need to do to get tickets, some of you that attended last year would have received a letter through the post from Suzy already.

If you're referring to the 350 roadster that was me, I must have been doing over a ton when I hit that puddle in the dip :dance: How mad was that track today, loved it :) At the point when we all went on the track the heavens truly opened and a massive storm broke, I thought that they may have closed the track it was so mad.

 

Was that you in the black Z32 that I overtook just before spinning. Sorry If I scared you fella, you were driving really well mate and you did well not to hit me. You were really shifting, I started at the back of the grid, I think I overtook everybody except you. :bow:

 

My mate was supposed to be videoing it but at that point the weather went truly ballistic and he was preoccupied with trying to retrieve the marquee from our stand which blew in to the car park :wack: .

 

I'd love to get some of that footage off you Did you get any footage of me?

I'm gonna have to point out that there was one car that you definately did not overtake. :nono:

After a cautious first lap I got into my stride in the wet and passed a lot of cars, no one was catching up.

ok as soon as karl dropps round too mee i will post up video footage, unfortunatley i missed the spin with the vid cam , but got loads of other footage in between rain and wind

thanks mate. by the way ivan i overtook you but after some serious loss of control,brakes and being scaired stupid by seroiusly bold tyres i had to slow down and let people past. hehe brilliant time on the track and brilliant day. thanks to the z club for organising it and im looking forward to our next big meet. pj

Over taking on the warm up lap counts for whatever you think it should count for in those conditions.

I spent the next lap sat behind you wondering if you had any control at all.

You did get through the run off on the chicane faster than anyone else I have seen go through there!

Ultimately you were passed and gone from my mirrors within half a lap.

I had fun out there.

Your brother was a bit quiet and run away pretty quickly after we parked up, is he OK?

yes thanks mate i think he enjoyed himself. I really enjoyed myself also and that is what counts. i was impressed by your driving you did seem to have control of your car at all times. see u at the next meet mate

Having fun and staying safe is what it was all about and we all managed to achieve that I think given the conditions.

there was a lot of respect for the other drivers and everyone did well not to make any serious mistakes. :bow:

Just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone that braved the weather and the queues to get in on Saturday :bow:

It was a great day and fair play to you trackites, I couldn't believe the way the heavens opened at exactly 3.01, but what a show you put on.

 

I'm sorry I didn't get to speak to everyone but hope to meet up with you all later in the year.

Also sorry about the flying gazebo!!
