ello,

My underdrive pulley seems to have taken a bit of a beating at some point, with lots of chunks (about the diameter to a 5p coin) taken out of the rim on the back of the pulley...

some (pretty poor) pics attached, just wondered if this was enough to put it out of balance...

would love to fit a light weight one whilst im doing it but cant really shell out the big sheets for an unorthodox one at the moment..

Cheers

Dave

You can get an light weight pulley from ebay for around £40-£50. Belts are only about £4 from a motor factors.

Ive Just Had A New Light Pulley Fitted And Still Got My Old Pulley You Can Have My Stardard Pulley For Free If That Helps Mate

I've been warned off the cheaper ones as they are often not balanced properly....

Ah, what a load o rubbish. lol

Could offer you my old one but i ripped huge chunks off it when i was trying to get it off. :)

thank you for the offer but i'd imagine shipping from grimsby for such a heavy doo-dad will cost an arm and a leg! :D

I'll let you know if it comes to it, thanks again

Mate, i bought a Cosmoz Racing one from Canada. IIRC, cost around £45 inc p+p. It arrived in a few days, was nice n shiny, easy to fit and ive had no problems with it.

I also know a few people have bought Bomz pulleys from the US with no problems.

I would say go for it. (if you need belt sizes, let me know. )

Requires new cambelt

**** knows what thats all about.

David,

I have just had an Unorthodox pulley fitted by Ryan when he did my Cambelt service. Its and awsome bit of kit. I know these are supposed to be about the best balanced of the lot.

However, if you are looking for a cheap fix I have my old one you can have. I'm a little closer to you than Grimsby! LOL

Let me know,

Justin

Given the dampening capability of the stock pulley that would not throw it out of balance i would be more concerned about sharp edges and your belts , personally I would not touch a cheap pulley as some of these are seriously out of balance unorthodox are without doubt the best , shame there also the most expensive :(
