Ok... so i drove her to work, with no proplems and left her there for a week, went to start it.... and she turns over fine so the battery isnt flat, but for some reason just wont bite :headvswal , iv never had a problem with her, she has new oil, only 48000 miles on the clock and has been really well looked after, any ideas or am i going to have to bite the bullet and take her to nissan? :( a work mate thinks its the cold start sensor :confused: any help would be relly apeciated ;)

Well my starter motor has just gone but i was getting a grinding type noise but if your getting a healthy noise coming from the starter then i guess its ok

 

try doing a search im sure others have had similar problems ;)

might be a long shot here mate, but with you saying its been stood at work for a week make sure no fooker has had your optimax off

Don't take it to Nissan buddy, you will end up paying for it NOT to work!!!!!!!!

check all the connections to CAS and PTU first.. would prevent any spark if the plugs had dropped off...

Silly question, is it an Auto? Think you know where I'm going...my Z Manual but my other motor is Auto and left it in drive a few time and cought me out...

No she's a manual, im running out of ideas quickly!

as said - check PTU & CAS connectors (or the units themselves)

PTU's are prone to failure on our cars.

also, have you checked to see if any fault codes are stored in the ECU?

It'd better get fixed Brett!! lol! I cant buy a car that doesnt start!

Guess your could get Metering?

I.e. try to isolate yaself...

 

Get it to Phil at C and S or better still give him a Bell and tell him Rossy said you'd give us some free advise LOL No, realy he will do his utmost to help you...

Ok guyz.. Sorry to bring this one back up.. But im back in the Uk now, about to take ownership of this car.... Any ideas for me to have a look at? Or ideally, anyone fancy taking a road trip to see if they have any idea? Maybe could get to the Jap meet at Reading afterwards? Hopefully ill have the keys for it tommorrow.. If anyones willing, got a spare day tommorrow, feel free to gimme a ring on 07833 102779, ill buy them a beer or two if all gets sorted, just need wheels as im kinda stranded at the moment with no transport...
