He claims to have dyno printouts of the bhp, so it

could be possible. Have seen richie beamonts 1.8cc

200sx s13 with a proven 650bhp!

its not impossible but that much power on a front wheel drive is useless. Or is it rear wheel drive? I dont think it is.

Good point stu, think they are front drive.

My mate has a golf with an audi tt 1.8t lump

in it, thats front drive, it's running approx 230bhp.

It's almost impossible to drive, the torque steer is

horrendous! He was told that the most you can put

through the front wheels is approx 250bhp

My friend had a Lancia 1.6 turbo. I think that was about 180bhp, and that had trouble accelerating.

Some cars are just made to create big HP numbers regardless the fact it will make the car perform worse in a race situation.

On a recent business trip to Sweden, the MD of our supplier picked me up from the airport in his Saab 9-5 aero. This has been chipped and fettled to 300bhp, it is a front wheel drive but is still perfectly driveable. Good grip and decent performance too.

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

you can do lots of things to a fwd car to make good traction and minimal torque steer. modern technology is a great thing - however, this civic probably has none of it.

I've seen a mk1 golf gti with the 1.8t engine, decent gearbox and lsd, and that performed very very well in all situations. depends how thoroughly you want to complete a fwd project car, you just need to spend the right money in the right places.

Yes this Honda is a scrabble wagon :(

But I think those Jackson Racing superchargers are well respected in honda Tuning circles.........
