Found a copy of this book today.

Does anyone else have it?

If not, I reckon I can quote from it like a bible to support my arguments in my ongoing mission to 'boss' this place.

Yep, I've got it aswell :D A very good book.

me too.... suprised me lots when I read about 2million or so hours on suspension development, and then they obviously spent about 15 minutes R&D in the crappy headlights!!!

but yeah, a good book. read mine in about 2 evenings I think......

i want one (in the style of a spoiled brat)

It says the NA is better than the TT mate!

Sounds like the author knows what he's talking about. :p

you must have an earlier 1st version copy that they recalled, due to all the errors

I got mine from a company called Bookspeed. Their full address is;

Bookspeed

Messenger House

35 St Michael's Square

Gloucester

GL1 1HX

Credit card Order Line is 0181 994 7054

There is NO web address that I am aware of.

ISBN No/ 0-947981-52-7

Now I'm not saying that they still have any, but it's worth a try.

And as far as I know, this is NOT anything to do with www.bookspeed.com!!!!

Definatly. I'd put money on the fact that Ford saw that 'MX5 alike' before designing the Probe too.

i think IIRC you can get that book from amazon.co.uk

And the MX5 had nothing to do with the Probe, but the MX6 did ;)

Take a look at the pics to see the resemblance

Sorry Steve, but I don't see what your post has to do with my post, as I stated the MX5 had nothing to do with the Ford Probe. The Ford Probe was built on the same floor pan as the MX6, absolutley NOTHING to do with the MX5. The only corrosponding factor was the Ford owned a 52% share of Mazda, hence the design use of the same floor pan, also the Escort had been used earlier on the Mazda 323(or one of it's numbers ;) ) and the Fiesta being used as another Mazda model more recentley.

I don't doubt that their are similarites at all with the early pre-design stage of our beloved Zed, but nothing to do with what I have just said.

I hope that clears up my post :D

No worries Dave,

It says the NA is better than the TT mate!

Not exactly mate ;)

I only remember reading that "........had a hunch the N/A would be nicer for everyday driving........" and "....the regular car is light and easy to drive fast but the turbo requires more effort and is more the expert's car....." :D

Still, when it comes to colours there is no doubt.........

"......red is the designer's choice as the most appropriate colour........" :hyper:

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
