Thanks mate thats a great help

How much is trade price?

I have looked at these and I have a block and some heads in the garage which I may have a go at rebuilding (although a lack of knowlege)

Hopefully rebuild should start late next year.........

I'll give the part no's to me dad and get back to you with a price mate

Make sure you get the ones with a slight offset on the wrist pin, Z1 designed there own so I think you can only get these through Z1 , the other Wiseco pistons that are available do not have this and tend to clatter a little

Dont supppose they come with a part no? how much did they set you back in the end

About £350-£400 I think it was in the end.

There is no part number because they are Z1's own design spec.

Wiseco off the shelf ones apparently made rattling sounds which people where not happy with. Z1 sent Wiseco a spec of piston which they thought would be better and Wiseco made them.

It is probably easier and cheaper to get them from Z1 than from the UK.

The offset is critical - you stand a high risk of bore damage if you don't have this!!!!

I'm right in saying piston slap is when the skirts slap against the bores?

If the wrist pin is offset then theoretically the piston will be going up and down the bores diagonally wearing the bores unevenly? does this make sence or have I got the wrong end of the stick :headvswal :)
