I sat there one day and thought......"i think i'll get a turbo timer!". So i did and a few hours have turned into months  . I get the timer and fit it, all is good  .Then i get a harness so i can fit it into the ignition circuit. Three harnesses later i managed to get one that fits the car (after having to get one imported). Fitted the harness tonight and it worked    ...........slight problem though. My Z is an Auto and i can't get the fookin key out until the timer has finished counting down. Help me because its driving me mad. Is there a mod?? The timer is an Apexi.

the only time i ever had the problem of not getting my key out was when my old box wouldn't engage park correctly. You should hear a click if its engaging properly.

My auto with tubby timer is the same bud and, to be honest, I never even thought of a mod to release the key!!

As far as I'm aware, the car will hold the key while it is still possible to drive (anti-hijack) so, as the car can theoretically still be driven while the timer runs down, you ain't getting the key out!

Having said that, I will keep an eye on this thread to see if this can be fettled with ;).

Heeeeeeeeeeeelp Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! Lol

 Lecce mech's...... Nice to see you back mate :D

What gave me the idea that there was some type of ignition key unlocking adaptor is that the apexi timer instructions mention it. Thought some one may have one

Going back a bit but the basic spec is in these threads. There is a solenoid which you need to bypass which will allow the release of the key whilst the engine is running. Someone who does know exactly is JeffTT, a mine of information.
