Capped plug - what's this?

i just noticed this plug (yellow/black wire running from it) which had a plastic cap over it and obviously not plugged into anything. it is situated near the passenger side/front fuse box. any ideas what it is?

    OK, as its you I'll tell. Its an RPM output so that you can plug a tach in there to get a RPM readout. :D
