Does any know if, where or how i can get 2 seperate bass enclosures in the boot of my Z with enough room to still put the roof pannels in. I was thinking maybe 2 x 10'' or 12'' boxes, one in each rear corner. Has any one ever done anything like this????

Yeah you could do two 10's no probs, just depends how good you are with box making, how much your willing to spend and what sound you want.

You will be very lucky to get a pair of 12's in and still have enough room for your roof pannels. You could do it but it would sound cack because of the box restrictions you would have to have.

Is there a recommended minimum box capacity for a 12" sub?

I have custom built 8" boxes in the back of mine I will try and get some pics for you

here ya go

Steve :)

All depends on what volume of air your indervidual sub requires, also dependant on if you need a vented box or if your sub is happy in a sealed box.

The minimum box capacity will change from sub to sub and on the shape/location of the box. Also what sound your after will denote what kind of sub you buy and hense what volume box you need.

nice boot build Baggins, just what i've been looking for, any chance of a template ?

I cant open those attachments. :(

Im with krsmayo, any chance of a template Ryan? :)

LOL being the cheepskate that I am I used some off Ebay that cost me 14.99 each , worked a treat , the speakers are not boom boom boxes but do give a nice punch when required

These speakers and boxes are now out of my car and more than happy to sell them if anybody wants them

LOL of course, I will take some measurements for you ;)

The previous owner put two custom made 12" subs driven by 1000w amp in the back of my car.

I am going to remove one (or maybe both).

One will have to go to make sure the targas go in.

I thought you might want to see the size of the enclosures and what boot space is left!!!!

Martin

i had 2 twilves in my old car, took two poeple to lift the box out, just want some 8" thats all i can take lol

That's a great job!

I have 2 1000W Subs in mine, although I'm going to take one out and put it in the GTE, two is too much really.

The more I look at those pictures the more I see what a damn good job you've done there... amazing!
