Does anyone know if i can connect up an in car conzult system to my dvd player/screen ?

 

Is so - has anyone got the know how on how to do it, and where to get the actual unit from please ?

It's possible , but you'll need a laptop (or "in car-pc") that has a video-out or CVBS connector that connects to your screen.

And if i had it and pulled up to another Z32 or GTR would i be able to link it to their car easily or is this not possible ?

Hey Mike,

 

Have a look at the review/screenshots on our website (click on ConZult) - there are some pics missing near the bottom of the screenshot page but they should be up in a couple of days). The conZult will (a) give graphical feedback of nearly every sensor in the car, (b) perform all the engine, A/T transmission, climate control and HICAS diagnostics, © offers real-time workshop features (TPS, idle, timing, fueling, etc) and (d) give you a warm glowing feeling ... ;)

 

The system can easily be plugged into another Z32, GTi-R, 200SX, some Skylines.

 

If you need me to source a laptop I can organise that for you.

One tip - make sure the laptop has a 'proper' serial port and not just USB - it makes everything so much easier ;) (I think people have had it working with a USB->Serial convertor, but it's just much more straightforward using a real serial port)

Pricing seems very reasonable, although looks like they are out of stock on the cable interface at moment.

i found the circuit diagram on the internet that converts the ECU output to the coms port on the pc and made it.the only thing was i couldnt get the connector to connect to the car so i spliced into the loom

 

the datascan software has nothing to do with the conzult
