I need a paint code please

I need to respray my front panel and I need to match the paint as close as I can obviously.

I have a 1993 model but I am unsure which paint code is correct.

Is it Aztec red AG2 or Ultra red AJ4?

How do I find out for sure as I think after september 93 it was Ultra red and before that Aztec red.

And where can I get the paint? Had a quick look in a smaller halfords store but to no joy.

If anyone can help that would be rather grand as I want to get it done tomorrow.

Thanks as always.

Thats what I thought mate .. did check these pages out TBH but wanted to get some clarification from somebody else before I bought the paint.

Can anyone else confirm?

If you look on the plate on the slam panel under the bonnet it will have the paint code, for the best match go to a motor factors to buy it, if you need it in an aerosol some motor factors can mix it then put it in an aerosol,HTH Richard.

Cheers Richard .. will have a look tomorrow morning and get it sorted .. probably better than Harry's anyway ...

Im pretty sure the paint match will be better, these guys mix the paint for your local body shop and have to get good paint matches, Harry mostly employs teenagers that dont really care, last paint I got was Aztec red from Standox and it was a very good match.
