Guys,

 

I need to get into my Zed but someone, AHEMNIGELAHEM :D, took my battery terminal off (As your looking from the front off the car its the right hand side terminal which I believe is the negative) and shut the bonnett meaning I cant get in as I have no door/boot keys!! :slap: So the remote fob wont activate?!

 

Is there a secret way of getting into my car without smahing the drivers window?

 

I can jack the car up but can I reach the catch if I stretch? I could on my old escort! :D

just ask one of the burberry wearing twats outside your local onestop/quicksave/quickie mart/whatever im sure he'll pop the door open for you in a matter of seconds....

You may be able to hook up at battery charger to the main feed to the started and to the chassy, this will give enough power to pop the locks.

I would be impressed if you could reach the catch , just wondering if there is a way you could come up from the drivers side underneath and reach the bonnet release cable. failing that you could cut the quarter light out

Bingo!!!! Thats the best way ;) Just make sure you put the +ve onto the large terminal with the rubber boot and get the -ve on a good earth to the chassis :) I'd connect a battery though, not a charger, as chargers put out quite a bit more than 12v, also some won't even turn on the output unless they sense a battery there ;)

you could also just try removing the cowling above the battery (few screws) that way you can just reconnect the earth

Thanks guys, I will try the jump lead/spare battery thing tonight as th egearbox is already out so the live wire is hanging down. Failing that, I'm gonna try looking for me battery terminals/leads through the plastic bit under the windscreen as mine is broken anyway so not bothered about that at the mo.

 

Failing that, the drivers side window is being broken as my sorn is in there and its £80 if I dont get it sent off really soon!! 5 weeks overdue now!! GULP!! That windows scratched over the years anyway! :D

But can you get to them with the bonnet shut? Those little shits are a pita when you have full access never mind in a confined space :D

I take it u mean the two screws for the plastic panel!

 

Like I said, I will break it off as its broken anyway.

 

Bet their rare as they always seem to be broken on most zeds I have looked at!!
