I live in a Cul-De-Sac too and a few times I have seen cars drive up and the down it. One time about 12 at night I saw a 17ish lad walk up my street, who I have never seen before, I was already outside I for something. He took one look at me watching and ran off.

You are lucky that the police are coming round to your house. When I got my Astra Nicked, I just got a letter asking for any marks on the car.

By the way think very carefull about reporting it to your insurance, get a price for the damage,owt under £500 is not worth claiming for unless its got glass cover then claim only for the glass, as the insurance company will hammer u next time. even with protected no-claims bonus they still load u up about 25%
