since i fitted my apexi it seems to be a bit less nippy, doesnt seem to accelerate as fast.

am i expecting too much or maybe getting used to the power so much that it seems slower.

or is it something more technical like having to remap the ecu

Wont need remapping, as long as it's fitted properly and there is no air leaks, it'll be fine

ive just fitted a apexi and it seems better mid-range, plus ooohhhh yes that sound

Put a JWT charger on mine at the weekend, car runs very well , more response, seems to have cured the stalling problem as well. which is wierd. No complaints here though.

There is an article in this months Japanese Performance magazine about air intakes. Not all of them work, some are better, some make the car slower. For advise see customers and not suppliers, who have a vested interest

And most of all experience in that field  ;)

a new filter wont make much difference on its own, its more of a supporting mod for boost upgrades and the like, i have a blitz induction and mongoose catback and the car is a little more responsive but not much.

you're possibly just getting used to the speed of the car (I did) ! if i have to pootle around in the golf for a few days the zed blows my socks off when I get back in it!! :D

yeah thanks lads

probably getting too used to it

i have been driving around a lot in it lately, trying to get the most out of it before the winter sets in

Maybe by complete coinsidence your car has gone into safety boost. If you really feel its slower then do an ECU diagnostic ;)
