Hi all,

Picked up my first 300zx at the weekend, enjoying every moment with it, i think its the beginning of a beautiful relationship :D

but once i picked it up on Sat i realised the horn didnt work, then on sunday it started working all by itself every now and then, and first me and my mate found it amusing but then it turned annoying i popped the bonnet to see what i could do and my leg banged against the passenger side headlight and the horn started and wouldnt stop till i managed to locate the fuse and yank it out.

A friend reckons it might be the alarm causing it but im not sure as im guessing the horns are near the passenger head light are they?? I also have an aftermarket momo steering wheel.

Any ideas please??

Cheers

Matt

Crouch down in front of the car mate and look through the hole under the number plate and the horns are either side of that hole.

BTW hello and welcome to the madhouse

cheers mate, unfortunately mine has a bodykit on it so i guess it will be easier to jack it up, prob is cant get to till the weekend so lets hope it doesnt rain :-)

it couldnt be something stupid like a short on the horn ring at the steering wheel could it?

which type of momo is it? mine is an evo millennium and the standard horn button which came with the boss was too 'deep' so i had to use the one which came with the wheel.

if there's a fancy pad over the horn button it could be holding it down all the time.

just another idea for you. good luck and welcome to the club!
