can anyone tell me what does the j-spec boost gauge read in as i think my car is in safe boost mode----its reading bang on in the middle of the 0--7 whatever it means,so thats 3.5 of hg whatever that is (yea ime confused to) run the consult tonight and getting the happy 55 with no faults in road mode either

even though you're getting code 55, doesn't mean you're not detting and going into safety boost.

Does it always read half-way, or only after driving for a while? maybe you just got a boost leak or two.

Borrow a decent after market gauge and see what boost you're actually getting.

thanks for that jaffa----when i run the conzult and give it some pedal mashin the timing was showing full advance so i dont think it was detting at the boost stage, yea the boost is allways constant 3.5 of hg on full mash.think ill take your advice dude and get a boost gauge and see what ime gettin in good old old money-----cheers

If you hang fire on the after-market boost gauge until the weekend, I have a boost gauge that you can try out, its a Blitz. Its got to come off the top of my dash anyway.
