My cars been on mig tips for about 3 years now & i'm very happy, no det' or coughing & spluttering, even changed sizes for rolling road/track days etc.
But in my strict monthly maintenance shedule i remove them & give 'em a blow through with an air line, at the same time last month I thought to put back in "off the shelf" the 1mm ones........ I had a set of my std mig tips measured on a shadowgraph.
The tolerance the company's allow for mig welding wire, is shall we say questionable. Plus there a bit fiddly.
So i've had these made for my car.
A decent lenth to work with. A ctr witness mark to see when its 1/2 way in.
Overbore to actual required bore 4 stage drilling, Rubber pipe sealing rings for the jubilee clips. And a 60 degree countersink each end to help air compression.
