saw this car at the pod today on the club standand wondered who owns it now? its my old car and what have you done to my alloys :eek: they're kerbed all over.

Firstly - the alloys were like that when I bought it, I swear. It would be a hanging offence to kerb such a sweet set of Enkei's :mad:. Just getting round to new tyres, at which time I'll get them refurbed (gonna go for black spokes with diamond cut rim).

 

Did you sell it to Syston Sports in Leicester then? If so, did you buy the Supra from there - any problems?

 

Unfortunately, if you were to ask the usual "How's the old girl going then?" question, I would have to answer that it's been a right royal PITA from day one!!! Not dissin your old motor mate but I have had no end of problems with her, and they ain't over yet - but I shall overcome!!

HI MATE, YES i px'd it for the supra as the gearbox seemed to be very clunky. i dont know if you noticed but i had to bypass the knock sensor as well. does it still have the mines ECU i put in? the wheels were immaculate when i px'd so he must have done that. i had a couple of problems with the supra when i bought it as well but its all sorted now.

Actually, I took the Mine's ecu out for a bit, but (when other running problems are sorted) it will be going back in now I've learnt a bit more about the car. I had to have a new gearbox in the Z after a few weeks - but Syston Sports managed to talk me out of any kind of warranty, :slap: , so that cost me £1600!

 

Did you disconnect the aircon? If so, do you know what I will need to get it going again (after the winter, too fekkin cold for it now!!)?

 

Would you mind if I asked how much they gave you for it? I paid £5k for it and, in hindsight, think I should have paid less - what do you think?

i never touched the aircon so dont know about that. maybe just a re-gas? he actually gave me about 5k for the car(i think) but it only owed me £4k with the wheels. he couldnt try and persuade me any more to buy a warranty though, although i turned it down as they're not usually worth the paper they're written on.
