Indeed they do!

The Petrol Pump Icon should glow orange when very very low....it's none to bright on mine, TBH, so it might be a job to see in daylight.

Yes they do and are not too bright (like PhilD said). If it's not lighting up then the bulb may be at fault - cluster out job to fix it but not too difficult.

Cheers.

The light gets brighter as you get nearer to empty, doesn't it, or am I just mis-remembering that?

At the rate the Z drinks fuel it should go off like a strobe flash! Must admit I've never noticed this light on my J spec Z

cool, no light so i might get to the shell garage lol

Easy!. I have gone on for about 15 miles (very slowly) with the light on. Not sure how much furthe rit would have gone, but I think I was pushing it.

But what's the most fuel you've ever managed to put in? I'm pretty sure I've never been able to put in more than about 63 or 64 litres, and that was after I'd driven a fair way with the warning light on - the needle was below empty. I presume it still had 8 or 9 litres left, even at that stage!

When the light came on my Z, I drove about 10 miles before the car started spluttering :(

Not much warning is it?

well no light came on but got to shell garage and managed to get 60 litres in the tank. the guage was just below the empty mark though

yeah the light slowly comes on as the tank runs out but as soon as its bright, i get my car's ass down the local.

ps. is this a JDM-only thing?

Yea, I got 30 miles with the light on before it totally ran out:) It splutters then its gone. Took 69 litres to fill back up plus 3 I had in a can from my saviour the missus. It was just a case of forgetting it was on for a couple of days already. Lucky I was near home

I've seen the light working on mine just before i bought it. My mech was running short journeys in for about 3 days with the light on and it was well below the empty mark. Good to know it has a bigger capacity than i thought tho. I normally get about 50 litres in when i fill her up, but looks like i can run her a bit longer before needing juice :D

I've never seen my petrol light on  or for that matter I never let it go below 1/4 tank

My 91 UK model has the warning light too. Without I'd have been stuck many times ;-)
