Just got my auto rebuilt for the second time in 1 year.

This time I have to add the oil myself as only box was sent off.

I have read from threads that she will take 8.7 litres of oil (box and convertor)

I have added approx 6.5 litres and she reads full at dip stick (hot and cold)

Should I add the extra 2 litres?

Also since mechanic fitted box the gear lever is no longer rigid and moves quite a bit when trying to change geae manually. Peviously it felt very tight and I would only have to toucj gently and it would click between the gears.

Can this be adjusted or is it in the box internals?

Thanks

Hello mate, i drained my autobox at the weekend, bought 7 ltrs

of oil to put in, managed to get 4.5ltrs in! The torque converter

will hold a few litres anyway. Reads spot on on the dipstick. I wouldn't

go putting any more oil in mate, just drive it steady for a while & keep

an eye on the level.
