mna that looks sooo good.

lol did people give you funny looks whipping out a camera on the forecourt? they do look good though, howcome the projector beam thingies look black?

The beam mod is a bit hard to explain but very simple if a light unit was in front of you, well here goes.

The dip beam projector bulb is set back from the glass ball lense (4" or so) in between this is a dip deflector that basically cuts off half of the beam at a dip left angle.

There is a back reflector where the bulb is located but nothing from there to the glass ball.By simply wraping a piece of polished aluminium sheet around the gap (there is a frame to fix it on) it forms a relector tunnel and retains more focus of light going forward (my assumption anyhow)Now by adding the chrome film and uprated bulbs the package works together very well.

Oh yes Clarkey taking the photo was a bit embarising but what the hell, dunno about the projectors looking black? must be a photo thing as in the top pic they don!t??

Oh yes the film is available at Homebase stores Code: 4006765780153 (Metalic (B)

Cost £5:99 did both lights may have a look at the spots next. Jeff TT

Jeff, do you think it would be possible to electro plate the plastic once the headlight lens is removed?

I remember ages ago when companies started electroplating plastic car badges and know of a place in Essex that can do chromium plating(not sure on what size jobs they undertake).

Trev

Actually Trey that was my original idea, but thought the film idea was a quicker and cheaper way to try it, and it`s reversable, the electroplating if poss would make a super finish. Jeff TT

Jeff - if after the month's trial these lights are let loose, I'd be interested in getting some!
