Do Nissan Main Dealers Sell the 99 model front bumper?

I am trying to source the best price for a 99 spec front bumper, have phoned a couple of places typically £330 inc VAT. Thought it might be worth trying Nissan? But don't know if I will get very far without a part number.

Has anyone ever tried this?

Have made a call to them and waiting for a price, apparently they come already colour coded to the car, if so then this would be a saving not having to get it sprayed.

LOL, ok, don't forget them! Let us know how much, I fancy a laugh!

Already colour coded sounds like a bad idea to me. Our cars are old now, the paint is old - pr may have had new paint. I wouldn't trust it perfectly matching!!!

Nissan uk will supply the older style. we never got the 99 spec here in the UK!

yes andy, we know. you mention it any time 99 spec bumpers are mentioned

:D

Too right, thinking of going back to my original for some 'exclusivity' ! LOL :D

Thanks for the parts number, I will check them against what Nissan say. Fingers crossed on the price just hope the fact that I apparently went to school the parts guy will get me a better price!

You can always try Mike Feeney (MJP Auto) in the traders section - he sells them too.

That's where I go mine from. I can't remember the price as he supplied it direct to my insurance co repairers but it was around the same as the Z centre (£280+vat approx).

I know you said I was wasting my time but.....

Got a call from the Nissan dealer today (guy I went to school with so supposed to be good price) and gave him the 99 Spec front bumper code 62022-VP125.

Best price was £275 + VAT. But does not include Mesh. So thats less than everywhere else by £20 inc VAT? I think you could even get another £5 or so less if buying more than one.

So am I missing something? Is it the mesh? Do the other suppliers include this in their prices? Or is it just a couple of £ anyway?

PS the indicators are £45 + VAT a pair.

So unless anyone has a better idea I think I will go with Nissan.

you dont get the mesh fullstop simple enough to do though i think the indicators are cheaper through one of the traders on here

Any idea what the best type & style of mesh to get, and where from? I assume stainless

well me personaly used honeycomb stainless!

top tip where gloves when you fit it as its sharp as feck when cutting! and the plastic lugs need trimming to fit the mesh on.But a couple of small cable ties and jobs a gooden :)

You guys do well in the UK

Just rang Nissan Ireland for 99 spec front bumper = €587.35 + VAT(£410+VAT)

Bit more than the £275 quoted

I did....

Mike Feeney sells the bumper with the mesh included. Easier than making your own, as it just clips onto the lugs in the bumper.

Plus the indicators cost around £45 including the VAT, also from Mike Feeney.

HTH

Whats the total cost from Mike Feeney though compared to Nissan?

I thought he was £290+ vat for the bumper which is £20 more, the indicators are only £2 cheaper, so that leaves £18 to pick up some mesh. Plus of course I dont have to pay for delivery.

are you absolutley sure that is a 99 spec? i didnt think UK dealers even listed them. had the same problem with a series 2 PTU, quoted a UK dealer the part no & they didnt list it!
