Hi Guys

 

I am trying to work out seat model changes with Luke at the Z Centre.

 

The series 2 leather seat I am trying to retrim has 3 base sections as illustrated in picture B (red bit).

 

Can anyone check their Series 1 leather (1989 - 1991) and see if it has 2 base sections as illustrated in picture A or 3 bases sections the same as picture B.

I have an '89 Jap spec.

The base section on my leather had three pull points that create creases (all one piece though).

 

On the Z center leather there is only two pull points - I will be putting in a third to remove the bagginess.

How did you get your seats so black and clean. I use Autoglym but they still look grey!

I used a special dye that Mike Groves gave me. I have no idea where he got it what it was called or how he made it ?

warm water and splodge it over the cotten bits that are showing their age, then a couple of treatments of leather restorer and it should be okay,

 

make sure you get excess dye off that hasn't soaked in or you will end up with an arse like mike tysons
