Hullo,

Bit of an odd problem cropped up today, pretty major hesitation when pulling away (auto) car almost stalls!!! and at the same time noticed what appears to be a boost leak! (dont think it's safety boost).

Had a quick sniff around the engine bay and found a very ropey pipe (end shown in the pic attaches to the throttle body)

Im pretty certain this is the boost leak culprit, god knows how it held any pressure before!!

Question is, could the hesitation be caused by the same problem or do I have another bug to work out???

(did find this thread, could it be the PCV valves? do they fail all of a sudden?)

Yep more than likely the two are related. However, you cannot say until you've eliminated that problem. First job is to replace that pipe ;)

I may have a spare pipe mate ... which throttle body pipe is fooked? drivers or passenger side?

I know I have one good one.

Thanks for the offer chris! It's the drivers side pipe. I'll check with smithy first to see if he has and hard pipe kits in stock (perfect excuse to spend money i dont have on bling!) if it's gonna be a while I'll defo take you up on the offer, how much do you want for it?

thanks andy, will get the pipe sorted then hopefully hesitation will stop, its a real pita and makes driving the car a bit of a chore... :(

I don't want anything for it mate .... When you get the hardpipe kit fitted just post it back to me. That is of course if I have the correct pipe. I will check this weekend for you. I managed to split one of mine taking it off when I fitted the hardpipe kit myself ... fookin thing wouldn't budge at all ...
