I've been in contact with Zippo in regard to getting some Z lighters made up. Steve-o is currently working on a design similar to the pic (from a previous post) which we may be able to get produced by Zippo as a one-off batch.

 

My question is how many of you would be interested in one? Obviously the design isn't done yet, but once approved will be posted here. Should be about £15 each, but don't hold me to that as we've yet to get approval and final costings from Zippo.

ok update, heres the initial idea for the design, the more engraving we have, the bigger the price, each text part is classed as an extra item to the lighter, so to keep prices down we cant have as much text as the original.

 

Bear in mind if u all think this basic design is ok, ill get it done proper and send it over to em for prices etc.

 

Obviously when its all finished and etched in it will look much better, so youll have to use your imagination on this rough design ATM, im just checking that people approve the layout! so let us know, by posting yay or nay after this please!

 

 

p.s the 300zx and picture will be front

Nice. TBH I can take or leave the "The Z Story" text including the model numbers, the large "Z" logo would look as good on it's own...but I'd still be very happy with it if that's the way the general concensus goes! :)

Looks good Steve-o. I agree that the Z should be on its own. Also, maybe keep the 300ZX in the same type size (like the rear panel) - the smaller "00" looks a little odd IMHO. Not fussed about the TT either myself...

I agree with the larger Z and no story. I also think krsmayo's comments regarding the 300 would look better - I don't mind which.

Yep, if the "00" of the 300 was sized to match the 3 I think it might look more balanced. As before I'll happily go with the majority but the "TT" does look a bit out of place, almost like an afterthought. Reminds me of the "TM" trademark logo that used to be plastered over any Star Wars merchandise when I was a kid. Think it takes away from the boldness of the lettering, but hey, it's only my opinion guys!:)
