Bloody hell mate you must be gutted, I would have thought its probably down to oil starvation, maybe blocked oil ways? Thats my best guess anyway!

Kinda doubt it's lack of oil given the amount of smoke that was coming out of it! Could maybe be the return to the sump being blocked I suppose, meaning the same oil stayed in there and possibly overheated?

Did you have any luck with warrenty

Going back to basics and not trying to make anyone sound stupid....did u change the oil when u changed the turbo's origionally....contaminated oil would knock any warranty claim in the head.

Cheers John Crisp

i know this is probably wrong but how about a leak in the pipe where you put the mig tips to boost it? would this not give a higher boost on one side? dunno if this is right or not.HTH. si.

the turbo guy says mojor oil starvasion problem

needs a new core cost price with no labour £325 + vat

any good ideas on cheaking oil flow

ive got a pipe but it looks a right ******* to change

do 300 suffer anywhere else with oil blockages

thanks

Spin it over with the coils or something disconnected so it does not start and see if the oil comes out of the pipe.

Replace the oil pipe from the oil pressure sender unit bracket to the turbo. Smith can get you one of these ;) ALWAYS either use new lines (preferable) or give the old ones a really good flush when replacing turbos. A braided line will also allow you to remove it quicker next time... no don't go there I know LMAO :D Good luck with gettin it sorted :)

I had a braided pipe made up for my sons 200sx (turbo feed) for £20.00 cash. From an industrial pipe maker, might be one in your area, and he did it while I waited.
