Been busy downloading some Z videos via Morpheus and I have to say I am dissapointed.

 

First video is on a drag strip. Z gets wiped out by an old model Supra!!

 

Next video is of a Z getting splatted by a Honda S2000!!! mind you it might be a NA Z with a flat tyre .

 

I am currently downloading a race vid of an RX7 vs Z and I don't hold my hopes up based on previous results.

 

Has anyone got any vids of Z wins to cheer me up?

Porker's honestly intrested in Z's cause honestly, who'd search around another car's forum?

 

I don't trust any car that can't hold it's value, the Z is over 10years old and still holds decent value, while the 10+year old Porsche 944, honestly the people who drive it here are 16year olds who got it from their dads.

 

Porsche 944 does'nt impress me at all, the curves and lines are'nt nice, and there's no way the design could be mistaken for a 2000 model even with any type of possible kits they could ever hope to make.

 

Porsche 944's with 70k mile is selling for less than $3,500 in my local area, while the Nissan Z's still sells for over $10,000 with 70k miles on it.

 

People love the design and cues of a 300zx, ever since I've got it I've not nothing but dead stares and people trying to race me, keyword "try" many try and only a few can hope to keep up.

 

You don't find many imports that can come with 300hp from the factory.

 

I've researched cars and it's potential, out of all the imports the 300z is one of the most modest cars to upgrade for a decent price, the 944 however holds no resale value, has the reliability of a Yugoslavian Yugo.

 

Everyone makes a mistakes, and Porsche 944's are Porsche's mistakes, like how Nissan would like to forget about the Z31 300zx, in the new Z commerical you'll notice they only showed the origional 240z and the Z32's only.

Take it from me if you had owned both cars you would know the 944 is not in the same league of performance or comfort than the 928. My 928 was real quality inside and out just like my Zed. A pleasure to drive and even though it may be heavier it pissed all over my 944T. The 944T was not slow by any means but just not in the same performance league as a 928 (or a Datsun TT LOL). The interior was shit and VERY plastic looking in the 944(928 was full leather everywhere, including the dash). So my advice is take out a 928 and you will see you are making a prick of yourself!!. After you have done this try a Zed and you will see that only a few other cars come close (and none of them are a 944T).

Eddie, not being funny or anything, have you actually considered getting someone else to have a look , to confirm waht S.E are saying (really not trying open can of worms but worth a thaught)

Fair point Warren. With my engine in bits and on a shelf with my name on it I would have thought it woud be difficult to descreetly grab the bits and run them over to someonle else.

 

SE did not check the heads themselves, they were sent away to be tested which is where the fault was discovered.

 

Had my 2.5 hour chat about what I am doing with the car, whare I went a bit overbord with ideas. Got another meeting to discuss how much and what exactly we do. I will keep you guys posted.

 

You can have a lot fun in these little 200's, just miss the top end power and superiority feeleing you get driving a 300.
