Last corner syndrome?

Anyone else get this, it fooks me off.

Like right now I want to go out and get some beer, so I can come back and have a few chilled brews, but I dont want to take me car, because inevitably, I will get the LAST CORNER SYNDROME>what is it I hear you ask?

Well, everytime I go for a short journey in my Z, be it to the shops, the KFC or wherever, it turns into a long journey!!

I'll head home, get to the last turn and think to myself 'nah I aint ready to go home yet' then go the other way, or drive past the turn off that leads to me house.

Then ill go for a bit of a burn come back, then think 'nah I still aint ready to go home yet i'm enjoying meself'

The Z quite often doesnt let me go home, and this can quite often go on to make a short journey turn into quite a considerable one!!!

Anyone else get this??

Yep I also have this illness,

3mile journey takes about 20-30mins!

and when it is also last priority it happens again,

Car was off road recently for 1 week and england was playing, I had to miss the first 10 mins to finish off the car, pulled car out of garage (which was a shit tip) only drove outside garage to tidy up and it took 45mins to get out of garage and back onto the driveway!

Yep, me get this every sunday afternoon when I have to pick up the nippers from me folks. I should go on foot as its only a 7 minute walk, but I'm a lazy bastad and thats a different story.

It is slightly different to your syndrome, but I guess still the same. I have to get em at 5pm so leave 4:55, bypass my folks completely and hit the Oxfordshire country roads to go scaring horses and cyclists :hyper:

Then pull up at my folks at just before 6 with angry folks and hungry kids waiting for me only to be *****k'd by the missis when I finally get home being late for sunday roast (brings a whole different meaning to sunday roasting)

They just dont understand that the zed does not like those short start stop journeys, they need to be well exercised.

Even today from Slough to Reading on way home from work, me added 20 miles on the journey to avoid the boring M4 tossa's

Yeah, know it well! After you've tootled along at 2000rpm

gettin' her warm, seems a shame not to go for a blast!

My favourite is Chievely & back on the a34 (£10 worth of fuel!!).

Doesn't matter where i'm going....always take the longest route! ;)

:D lol

Yeh its weird but I think you put it right, it just doesnt feel right going for a 5 min drive, it aint good for the car, but I dont want to go home after a short run either, the amount of time i go to go home and dont, thing is, me house is right next to two massive dual carriageways also.

Its all stacked against me!

Mind you whenever I pop over to visit me parents I find my self driving straight by to go for a bit more of a drive lmao..,....

Yep all the time mate. I go to get petrol sometimes just for the sake of it. By the time I get back I've used a quarter of a tank lol.

yep..... and with a full tank of Optimax, you think- ahh, just a little thrash- cant use too much.... half a tank later

Me too. After a crap night at work I'm driving home up to my turn-off, the sun's out, and it's either a) turn right and go home, or b) drive straight on and be in the countryside in 10 minutes. Decisions decisions... :D

And i thought I was all alone with my little problem......
