Hi all,

Heard on the news today that the Trans am used in Knighr rider is up for grabs on Ebay. Anyone seen it and got a link? Have looked everywhere and can't see it anywhere!

Cheers,

Justin

in my youth I raced a guy in a black trans am along the coast road sunderland to shields (in my Chevette) at night

when i passed him he turned all his lights off and he just had the red light moving from side to side :xxx:

i wouldnt be suprised if that "star cars" museum in london doesnt snap that up it if is for sale..they got the original mad max car there!! DROOOOOL! :D

there is a car museum in the Lakes who have a few original cars too. Dont think they will have to budget though.

There were 700 KITTs made. I used to work with a guy who's best mate had bought one. It had the full computer layout as in the program with the strange steering wheel! Aparently they aren't that expensive!

Not sure what the legalities are on steering wheels like that?

They were made by a company called Diamondback Automotive Systems inc, i got a sales vid for them.

Id love one if it werent a left hooker!!

Did anyone else not know that the voice light that flashed when kitt spoke was actually behind the steering wheel and not in the centre of the dash where it looks like it should be?

You can buy the Red LED Knightrider style lights from Halfords now..

i LOVED knight rider when i was a youn 'un (and yes i do have a vid compilation under the desk somewhere  ) some car audio/security shops have scanners which you stick to your window that 'rove' when your alarm is armed. its illegal to drive with the thing strobing tho cos so many people will laugh at you they'll lose concentration. :nono:

there's a web site of a garage in the states that converts your trans-am into a knight rider, complete with dashboard, brown seats and bonnet bulge, but damn it i lost the link.

Yup, "Cars of The Stars" in Keswick - brilliant place, I try and visit (wife's permission ;) ) everytime we go up north...

The've already got one of the KITT Trans-Ams. The owner bought one of the cars off of David Hasslehoff (as D H kept a couple, personally after filming finished). Last time I was there they had set KITT up talking.....

It was also on loan to The National Film exhibition Centre near Cambourne, Cornwall for a time last year.
