New brakes

All,

 

I just got a quote for EBC brakes up front, discs and pads...

 

£250 all in....not fitted though.......

 

Is this good?

 

Any other variants I could go for?

 

I really want to go for bigger brakes but am not sure what'll fit???

    And IMO I wouldn't go ANYWHERE near EBC stuff. The quality of the castings I've seen has been far from good unforts :( As I say though, ALL IMO ;)

    Ditto and it has to be GTR calipers with Porterfield carbon kevlar pads :D :D

    I've been happy with my EBC slotted and pitted discs with 'black stuff' pads.

     

    But as Mr. Duff rightly points out it is all about opinions, plus I've never run GTR, discs, calipers and porterfield kevlar pads.....so I can't compare!! ;)

    3G 310mm grooved rotors and mintex fast road pads are more than adequate and look the dogs with all the anodised centres and brackets , plus the origional calipers fit straight on the bracket with no mods , no need to bleed and re fill the system or mess about with hoses that may split due to their age

    Well me hoses are all braided anyway but have you got a link for these brakes sillen?
