Id be VERY tempted to take the car back to the garage that did the work! If it was ok wen you drove it there it must be something they did when fitting ya dials. they might have disturbed a connection or summit?

its back at the garage as its my mates place how did the work but we are just stumped on what it could be

work done today was oil filter and new oil and 3 after market gauges temp, boost, oil pres, and thats it

any more ideas what it could be so we can try and get it sorted billing coming very soon

This is nothing to do with the TPS. Been through it too. Its the classic expiring zed auto box symptoms. Mine also had occassional vibrations in top gear the month or two before it went and the lock up on OD top stopped working.

I think when whatever it is that goes wrong breaks up inside the box the bits clog the oil filter of the transmission and starve the pressure. Mines did it going slow at 30 mph. Same symtoms turn it off and leave it a mo and drive comes back.

Fraid your prolly facing a re build or 2nd hand box. Especially if the box oil is now smelly and leave a brown stain on the rag.

ive never had any sign of the box on its way out at all,

so many people have said how quite the engine is

drove it to the garage this morning and fine, went to pick it up took of the ramps and started it up and this noise was there ???

i dont want to buy a new box and find out it was somthing silly?

Had exactly the same thing twice  your box is fooked mate :(

First of all try disconnecting the autobox ECU connector in the pass footwell, and reconnecting it, mine wasnt clicked in right once and the autobox didnt like it :nono:

is it easy to find ?? iam not the best when it comes to wires there all the same to me mate

Hope it pans out ok for you mate, i've heard stories of auto boxes

costing 1.5-2k to replace! If mine ever goes (touch wood!), i will

have the z-world manual conversion done...£1500 all in!!

Gotta be worth thinking about?

Yeah its the square metal box on the left, the engine one is on the right. Unscrew the bolt first, and dont do it up too tight when you replace it

i will try that.

any more tips it could be if not that ??

going to check and clean the filter aswell inside box, someone said check the tps ??
