Exhaust when cold

Hi guys,

When first starting the car the exhaust puts out more smoke on the right hand side than the left hand side. But there is no problem when the engine is warmed up. Is this the CATS?

Cheers

Z's just seem to steam more when cold from the driver's side... no idea why but both of mine have and I've seen a dozen similar posts here. Wouldn't worry about it! Erm, assuming it's white "smoke" of course..

Might be Doggy O2 sensor on that side, if you can! see if you can get it on a conzult mate to find out for deff,

Good luck

Matt

O2 sensors don't come into play whilst the engine is cold, so you can probably rule that one out.

Does the smoke disapear quickly ?. If so it's just condensation and nothing to worry about.

Mine did this when starting up after leaving it for an hour or so, puff of blackish smoke, was the O2 sensor.

I also get more steam on the right from cold!
