Stu you really are on one bud, you dropped a valve on yer foot or summat? :)

Listen mate, how can you comment on something that you have NEVER experienced?

Can you answer the following simple questions for me?

1. Have you ever been to a 300ZX.co.uk meet further than 100 miles from where you live?

2. Have you ever attended Billing JAE?

3. Have you ever attended TRAX?

4. Have you ever attended Max Power Live?

5. Have you ever attended a proper track day? (LOL)

6. Have you ever attended anything?

Say no more IMHO! Typical example of someone spouting off about something they know f\/ck all about! FFS! Even Clarkey has been to Billing and he can't even drive, so when you have been to a show and not just read what you want in the jazz mags come back and we'll talk again eh? ;)

1. Yes

2. Not yet

3. No and proberbly won't

4. No and never will

5. Oh Yes lots and got palmer Audi Licence and FIA fomula 3 licence Production motor bike racing

6. YES Yes YES

Does that mean I'm qualified to have a say or just that of the things I know and have done I can speek from experience. Still doesn't mean I'm right thought or that I'm qualified to tell someone else whats right for them and if SRRAE has a view you think is ill informed at least provided a proper argument of "persuasion"? (is that how you smell it. Woops head gasket gone ,but ya know what I mean) Good night and its time to put this thread to bed.

However if I organse a track day who's up for it?

Did trax - nearly got my car smashed up - will NEVER do another 'have a go' day

Did kemble - properly organised track day, everyone had a fantastic time, NO damage.

  • 3 years later...

who bumped this back up?

who bumped this back up?

you did

Dunno, but there are a few long lost names in that thread. :D

i didnt at all!! it was at the top of new posts!!

and the poll is closed!!

I know it's an old thread and it's been bumped...I'd never take my Z on the track...maybe a parade lap, but seen too many people's cars get taken out. Certainly wouldn't want the chances of a crash increased. I also couldn't thrash my car constantly for that period of time.

I am contemplating buying a track car though and have done for a few years. Old Astra GSi or something, stripping it and having some fun.

The trackday I did at Bedford Aerodrome was very well organised. No mucking about whatsoever. Only 50 cars on track at any one time and an open pitlane. Was thoroughly enjoyable (even though it totally fried the stock brakes :()

I did castle combe and silverstone last year and it was a hoot.

The car felt like it was home for the first time in its life with me and didn't bat an eyelid at being driven hard for 20 minutes.

I don't think you can truly appreciate these cars unless you've driven them the way they were built to be driven
