Paul , if i dog did this to my cats I would have broken the dogs fookin necks , there is a jack russell where I live that chases my 3 cats and and try to come through the cat flap , never been quick enough to brake the sods neck in the door , but did have a quiet word with the owner , who funnily enough has not let the dog out again in the road since.

where did this happen , road -field etc , do you know the owners of the dogs i.e where they live ???

Gutted for you mate

I was not there when it happened, it was on an ally way at the back of our street, we don't know the dog owner but the witness and a friend of ours does and knows where he lives, if I was there the dogs (and the owner) would have been no more !

Exactly the same happened to my cat a few years ago. We had a 'pikey' family living at the back and they had two Rotties. The Rotties were just about wild - uncontrollable. They were left out in all weathers 24/7, and they used to bark all the fuggin time.

They chewed through and broke down the back fence of next door, broke in through our fence, chased my cat up a ladder in the back yard, and pulled it over. Then they shredded my cat  :( :(

The 'authorities' did nothing, so I shot both the bloody dogs with an air-rifle. Didn't kill them, but they were put down soon after (I think because they attacked the owners baby) Made me feel better anyway.

Very sorry about your cat.

How about some poisoned meat in their back garden, that should take care of the fookers, otherwise kick fook out of the dogs and their owners.

Yes I am not a dog lover.

I think more often than not its the owners that are complete vvankers , good job with the air rifle though bud

done that before now :x:

Just hang on a min here,Ok sad if you owned the cat:( but as for going and giving the dog a kicking or throwing poison over the fence just think what you are saying

Cats kill far more stuff that people care to mention, just think about all the young birds they drag out of nests and torture:(:(:(

So you cat lovers are going to say well its ok thats what cats do,well thats what dogs do so who is right and who is wrong?

The next time I see that ******* cat from next door draging birds out of the nestbox I must remember to get out my 12 bore.

Yeah but the birds are not 'pets'. You do not spend a bloody fortune on food and vets bills for the feathered shit bags in the garden. Also, dogs are supposed to be TRAINED!

(not a dog fan either....manic stinking slobbery things)

Of course Iain if one of these (out of control) dogs had gone for your kids would you still be so understanding .........I think not cats one day kids the next :nono:

I wish I could say the law was on your side mate, but the coppers treated my mother's friend like the criminal when she tried to press charges against a neighbour who's pitbull savaged their blind 14 year old yorkie. They even knew the dog was dangerous and had been told to keep it confined but he 'forgot' to keep his gate closed. :xxx:

That being said, it's the nature of dogs to chase cats so I don't blame them. The owners I DO blame though - they know what their dog's like and should keep them under control. Anyone that watches their dog kill a cat, or anything else, and does nothing deserves everything they get. You know where he lives - have it out with the owner mate !

And yes, I think cats should have to wear bells too.

Call me soft but I don't condone un-necessary killing !

You can fook right off! you can't compare children with stinking vermin cats,If you run over a cat you don't even have to report it,are you saying it's the same for kids

Yea,and they also drag rubish out of your bins and piss all over your flowerbeds killing all your prize blooms:D

Can you tell I hate the things? However I would still not set my dog on one.

What was it doing in the garden? Or was it a 'cat burgling' incident, and the moggie broke in to the house to get the bird?

(sorry, don't like birds either....manic stinky staring things!LOL!)

LOL It was in the garden on a perch enjoying some summer sun.

I much prefer cats to kids, kids are vermin that outlive you (unless the dog eats them LOL), cats are vermin that don't.

Get another cat and booby trap it. :D

Dogs are crap BTW, smelly vermin.

sorry about your cat m8, not nice to lose a pet and under those circumstances, as above a lot of out of control dogs are the fault of the owners, as someone who owns a dog a japanese akita, who is THE best housedog ive ever had, mine never roams ,never let out apart from our garden

but is driven beserk by cats in our own garden, (and we always know we're our kids are;) )

the same cats shit in our front/back garden, rip the bin bags in the middle of the night, if my dog did this in every neighbours gardens, im sure they would have summat to say, and thats not mentioning climbing on my car

when i had the jag convertable in the drive, with a cloth roof i caught a cat scratching the bugger, which does wonders for a ragtop:( so although i have every symphathy for your loss m8

cats walk the streets and in everybodys property, so "occupational" hazard

is the only way i can describe it

i think the only recourse you would have is to stop him letting his dogs run free, but i dont think i could explain to my dog that cats are not for chasing

Cat should be trained too!!

Its not acceptable for a dog to kill a cat but its not acceptable for cats to come on my property and try to steal my fish from the pond and crap all over. And the "thats what cats do by nature and you cant stop them" argument is not valid. You cant have it both ways...

Jezz are you saying you are a grown up vermin?

Amen Brother!

Sorry to hear about you're cat mate. You should take it up with the owner of the dog, the police won't do anything TBH. If someone stood by and watched his dogs do that to my cat he would get a visit he would never ever forget.

The difference between the two is that dogs (the semi intelligent ones) can be trained, cats on the other hand are a law unto themselves and do what they please.

Aye, probably. LOL :D
