So let's just say for the sake of it that the 300 was never conceived, what other jap car would you buy? Forget about money here, more of a fantasy Jap car league if you like.

Although we own Z's I'm sure we would want a whole stable yard full like the Sultan of Brunei! LOL

Hmmm, which one will I drive today to Spar for a pint of milk and some fags (Mike Groves would be going for fags, anyone else just the pint of milk LMFAO) ;) :)

NSX with R34 engine :D

Yeah I would be up for that Mr. G! ;)

Hmmm, should be able to vote for more than one really, as I'd like NSX, R34-V, RX-7, Supra in that order I think ... well that's today anyway.

R33GTR all the way

Good choice, you know...there is summat about a Skyline! People say they look boring but a couple of weeks ago when we were looking at Hi-Lux Surfs for the Mrs. Turbo...I chanced upon a few Skylarks in a showroom and to be honest, they are f\/cking awesome! Very imposing, interior is cool aswell, if you ever get to go to Middlehurst (god forbid, just buy a keyring and leave) but they usually have an R34 in the showroom and they are the B0110X.

Well that is my opinion anyway.

;)

Excuse me Mr Turbot, but at the risk of being pelted with rotting fruit, where's the 350?

Failing that, it'd have to be the Skylark, of course, and may well be in a couple of years time ;)

... Well, what'd you expect me to say?

CheerZ,

JB.

Bio On the Web

"Nissan" ("日産") is a Japanese automobile maker.

From 1932 to 1983, they also used the trademark ''Datsun''.

Nissan used to be Japan's second-largest car company, after Toyota, but it has dropped to third in size (IIRC) after Honda.

Due to financial problems througout the 1990s (to the point where most believe an American company in a similarly bad financial state would have ceased trading), the French company Renault took a large shareholding in the company and installed Carlos Ghosn as president, the first non-Japanese person to run a Japanese car company (Mazda is now run by an American). Originally formed on December 26, 1933, Nissan has produced an extensive range of mainstream cars and trucks, initially for domestic consumption but exported around the world since the 1950s. There was a major strike in 1953.

It has also produced several memorable sports cars, including the Z-car, an affordable sports car originally introduced in the 1970s; and the Skyline GT-R, a hugely-powerful four-wheel-drive sports coupe that is regarded by many as Japan's Porsche 911 and that has unfortunately rarely been seen (except as a gray import) outside Japan.

Savvy???? LMFAO :) So the 350Z is a frog coupe! LMFAO :)

Might aswell be driving around in a Megane FFS! ;)

Oh and according to Misseur Clarkson, the 350Z was designed by a guy in Leicester so it's getting less Jap by the minute! ROFLMFAO :)

P.S. at least the RX-8 has some dignity and heritage attached to it! :)

Timmy, FOOK OFF!! :xxx: :D :D

(If all else fails, resort to some old fashioned childish abuse).

Group buy on frogs' legs?

However, in the interest of accuracy (which I'm *sure* we're all bothered about), please read the following, posted by the great beard, Mr F:

I'm ashamed that you are perpetuating the Clarkson generated myth that the engine is French - it may have been used by Renault before it appeared in a Nissan in the UK, but they nicked it off Nissan as part of the take-over deal.

and .. from one of those knowledgeable people on 350zuk.com:

Clarkson's an idiot.

The engine is a VQ and has been used in various guises on Nissans for years. It's been existence since well before the Renault takeover.

Nuff 'Z?

JB. :D :p

LMFAO, what's abusive about telling it like it is? You mad at me? :)

Love you really! ;)

Right, where do you want me to start? If you buy a Skoda Fabia/Labia are you still buying an old generation Skoda built in the Chec Republic by monkeys or are you really buying a VW?

I know about this because when I worked for Johnson Controls who supplied seating to the Ford plant in Dagenham 10 years ago for the Fiesta's I walked around the production line many, many times. Oh and what else were they building? Mazda 121's, same fookin' car but built with Ford parts and along way from the rand of the lising sun! LMFAO

So the fact that Renault own Nissan would suggest to me that regardless of the fact they "stole the engine from Nissan" it is owned by a French car manufacturer so take it gracefully my friend, the engine is stinking of garlic and the pistons are coated with onion juice! LMFAO :)

FFS! The engine in my Mister-2 isn't a Toyota unit, they are actually produced at Yamaha! ;)
