Hi, I know you guy's can help me out with a little problem i have with tyre size's. The reason im asking is that i have just won some wheels off ebay(seen them at the last minute!!). The wheels are described as 6 spoke RS 306, split rims 8 x 17". PCD 5 X 114.3, ET +31. What do you think i should go for??. Also will this now create a bigger gap between the tyre and wing meaning i have to lower the car

thanks evry1

If you're running 8 inch wide wheels, I wouldn't go over 245 wide tyres.

Try 225/45/17 front and 245/40/17 rear.

They are direct upsizes from stock so will fill the arches the same.

Hi mate,

If you have an import, stock rims are 7.5 wide all round with 225/50/16.

UK cars have 7.5 wide fronts (same tyre size as J-spec) and 8.5 wide rears with 245/45/16 tyres.

So your new ones are smack between the two ;)

Richard :)

Hi mate

255 is only 1cm wider than 245 so it should be ok.

I used to have 245s on 7.5 wide wheels on my Supra and I had no problems.
