if its the sound your after - you have to go for a singe exit - the looks take a bit of getting used to though.

Ive got a single exit as it is, but its cheap jap steel so is basically falling to bits. Looking for a single 5" either side ideally.

Yeah john that exhaust looks awesome, would like that either side:D What was the cost for yours? Im wanting to ditch my cats as their damaged too:( oh yeah and where is this guy?

cheers

If you change your mind about the single 5" either side and fancy a Mongoose then give me a shout. £510 including next day delivery. Very lovely V6 sound and excellent build quality.

Cheers!

Im a big fan of mongoose, good sound and top quality but the small twin pipes are just too close to standard for me:( If they had some different pipe designs I would probably bite your hand off!

Mine was pretty expensive because it's all 4" pipework.

I'd give Leon a buzz and talk to him about what you want (I'm presuming 2x 2.5" pipework).

He's in Wrexham, so a bit of a hike, but worth it for the quality.

I have approached them about making different rear boxes and tips. They are willing but that would require a minimum run of 15 units - so that's pretty much a non-starter ... shame really.

Good luck with your search!

Ok I now have the money together to get myself a new exhaust, but still unsure of who to go to to get one made up. I love John Dixon's exhaust but wrexham is just too far away. Can anybody else give me some names for people in the south.

cheers

Please have a think about the kind of driving you're gonna be doing too, I had one of the loudest zorsts in the NW and have spent a considerable amount of money trying to quieten it down without loosing the essential sportiness of it. Still sounds good with twin 4" outs, not cats or silencers and custom made back boxes.

Sounds great for short runs, but does my head in after 5 minutes on a motorway!

I tend to only do short runs to work and back and around town so noise 'shouldnt' be too much of a worry. Does anyone recommend Powerflow exhausts? nearest one for me is Redhill, has anybody used them?

Try Longlife exhausts mate! Top quality SS, big choice of tailpipes, choice of "noise level", custom made to fit and lifetime guarantee. There's one in Wallington (nr Croydon). Some more info here

A couple of guys on here have used them and I've heard nothing but excellent reviews..

I think it was about £760 - the decat pipes were made so I can keep the old cats and fit them back if I need to for MOT etc.. They've even offered to swap 'em over for me free if they're not too busy. Top customer service!

Where are you based mate?

Im down in burgess hill, just north of Brighton. Would it be cheaper to decat but without making up interchangable pipes? Does that make sense:D Also thinking of a single exit so that should be cheaper too?

Yep - that should cut the cost down! If you call their freephone number and speak to one of their technical guys (they know the 300 quite well), they should be able to give you an approximate quote over the phone. You then just have to decide on which tailpipe you want...

cheers buddy great help!

I have a super megaphone which has about a 4" single exit each side.

Looks feckin awesome as the back boxes are partially on show and highly polished. Not that loud though just a satisfying deep rumble! Its one of the costlier ones I think though at about £790-£880

Ouch that is expensive! I did an online query with longlife and they quoted me £479 for frontpipes back, not sure if that includes VAT and fitting etc but sounds pretty good to me! Thats for a single 5" tailpipe.

Nice one mate - are you taking it to Wallington? If so, good installers over there... If you want to hear the medium loudness, drop me a line and pop over before you see them.
