With traction control seemingly the best thought of modification (see "What's Your Favourite Modification" thread), I'm surprised that more people aren't interested in preventing their pride and joy from sliding off into the deep blue yonder!

Johnny from Grasshopper Motorsport offered a Group Buy on the Racelogic Traction Control system a couple of months back with up to 30% discount but only two were interested.

I wanted the Traction Control (TC) for the security so that if I did cock things up (again), I wouldn't end up going backwards through the nearest hedge. I got fed-up of blasting past Scoobys and the like down the straights only to for them to catch me up round the bends as I am mindful of what a powerful rear-wheeled drive car can do. With the TC, those Scoobys would stay as a distant speck in my rear-view mirror.

I believe the GB offer from Johnny is still open ... is there any further interest???

PS. The Racelogic website states that the TC can be fitted by anyone with basic electrical expertise but Johnny/Grasshoper Motorsport are also authorised fitters

PPS. No, I am not on commission, I just want the offered 30% discount!

I could be tempted at the 'right' price.......

Add me to the list.

Matty.

Always interested in a bargain and this is on my list - but it would have to be seriously cheap. Aren't they about £650 normally? - 30% off would bring it down to what - £450?

How much are they to fit?

Racelogic prices are as follows (as published on their website, excluding VAT and carriage):

Traction with adjustable £645-00

Traction with adjustable and launch £725-00

Johnny’s post from the 13th February 2004, 12:49 was as follows:

Prices for these units are as follows.

10 - 24 units

Traction with adjustable £495-00 + postage

Traction with adjustable and launch £550-00 + postage

Upto 10 units

Traction with adjustable £610-00

Traction with adjustable and launch £680-00

As soon as we have a final figure of people who want this unit it will take approx 1 week to get these units out.

This unit is ideal for

Nissan 300zx

Toyota Supra

Toyota mr2 etc.

Thanks

Johnny

I emailed Johnny yesterday to ask him to clarify the questions posed. Hopefully he will get back to us soon (assuming he is not taking an Easter vacation!?)

No he was in yesterday when I spoke to him, but he did seem quite busy.

I really want traction control.

so if they are cheap enough i may say sod it and order one.

Where can i get one fitted as i don't have a clue.

but i would have to go for:

Traction with adjustable and launch possibly with shift control

Will have to wait until next week to download (when I'm back at work :D ) as my machine here is an 8 year old Win95 Pentium 1 and cannot decompress the file

What did he say ... is it a goer??

As an aside, how much does he want to fit it?

I bought mine in the last group buy nearly a year ago, and due to other commitments its still sat in a box in the bottom of my wardrobe!!!

If it aint that much to fit it, might have to pay someone!

Nick

I pretend to work, they pretend to pay me!
