Problem accessing 300zx.co.uk

One for you it boys,

For the last couple of weeks when I go to www.300zx.co.uk I don't get to the website just a message saying 'this server host the 300 and 200 websites' I click on the 300 one and nothing happens, I found an old link to get back to the forums page, but I dont have anything from the left hand side menus, so what's up, I think its related to AOL because I use this at home and work with the same result????

What would another link be so I could get all the bits???

Thanks for your help in advance

it sounds like a cache problem.

hold the shift key when you reload, or delete your cache, and see if that helps.

dont think i can do anything about AOL having old pages in their 'invisible' cache proxies, but sometimes they are not so invisible...

Hi John mate,

Firstly what type of browser are you using? Netscape, Microsoft Internet Explorer or AOL's very own nasty gui type Mosaic thing(are they still using that?) as it does make a difference for some sites.

Example: If I try to access GPS site from work on Netscape doesn't like it at all, same with Z Centre site and Paul Bailey. Most sites are descriminately written for IE.

Send a mail to AOL tech. support, we've had similar problems in the past with the web servers at work. One example was that you could access say UPS.com but not UPS.co.uk???

Plus, it's safe to assume that if you're using AOL at home and work it's defo a problem at their end.

Cookies could be playing a part in all this, files that store access, password, URL info. etc. when you goto a site. Might be an idea to clear these but I only know where these are stored on UNIX machines. Numpty in the PC area of things...thank GOD! LOL!

Only other thing you can do is use different URL's to access the site like:-

www.300zx.co.uk/UBB/Ultimate.cgi

or...

www.300zx.co.uk/welcome/intro.htm

I had to do this when we were having probs. at work. However, this still doesn't give you everything, just the forums.

Don't know what else to suggest fella.

Kick AOL up the ARSE!!!

Tim

;-)

Thanks guys, clearing the cache and cookies has done the trick

Regards
