What do you reckon on this

 

Me pops has the S4 (STOCK), he has set me a challenge. The 928 has 320 real mans bhp, against my slightly modded 32 putting out approx. 400 at peak with tubs spooling. (you know the difference) Well anyway he drove the Z when I got it and said it was too heavy and under powered, and that the S4 would kill it. Must admit the S4 pulls like a bitch from as low as 1.5k, with more torque than Vanessa

 

The challenge has been set, the gauntlet has been dropped.

 

Place ye bets, what do you reckon?

 

He even mentioned winner takes all, but I couldn’t take his pride and joy away from him :cry:

The stock TT is virtully identical in performance to the 928s4. Also during tests when the Z32 was launched, Nissan's driver stuffed Porsche's driver testing the later 928GT (330bhp) round the Nuburgring (spelling?) track :D

 

The 928 is a great car, though. I nearly bought one until I drove a ZX ;) IMO it's the 928 that feels heavy, gotta love that big V8 grunt and pulling power :cool:

 

In fact I've raced 928s4, not much in it but I got to 150 first.... :slap: (Would've had it if the rev limiter wasn't there ;) but they are good for almost 170 )

There ye go. 170mph with a 5 litre V8 32 Valve'r. My Z cannot do 170, well it couldent last time I drove it 2 years ago (before the mods) me dads is a manual too. "Mines" an auto. Richy did the S4 wax you, as you said if it wasent for the rev limiter you would of had him.

Actually pretty even to 100mph then I started to edge ahead. I was about a car length ahead by 150 and the ZX was still pulling strong, but neither of us gaining any further ground. He got ahead after my speedo showed 160 but the UK ZX is limited to 155 so that was me probably flat out :( (Doesn't an unrestricted ZX hit around 170-ish too? :confused: ) so Pork got in front though not by much - I was still on his tail :)

 

My ZX is stock, but for an induction kit though.......

Just looked in my car bible for the stats.....

 

928 GTS 5.4 ltr (360bhp model) 0-60 in 5.4 (ZX 5.6) and 100 in 14.3 (ZX 14.5) top 168 mph (ZX 155 restricted)

 

If Dave is running 400bhp and up against the 928s4 (5.0 ltr and 320 bhp) he should do it........ :hyper:
