single exit ----> HKS SuperDrager, sounds amazing

oh yeh i got one of these :D

Got a new one made for mine bu ALUNOX in north wales yesterday.

Bit outrageous, 2x2.5 front pipes into single 4" right through with only a tiny 14" x 5" diameter silencer.

This bloke is a proper craftsman, not just a jock with a bender the quality is superb. Will post some pics soon.

Single exit's definately sound best.

Also, he should be able to mod yours if you just want the tails changed.

His no is 078111 96727

Predator motorsport can make custom ones based on your own design like we got the ones on mine done

If you get rid of your Mongoose, give us first dibs on it mate! :hyper:

Tanx guys. Why is that peeps with single exits always want twins, Z owners go for singles?

Is it anything to do with the MOD FEVER

I have a 16 inch by 4 inch silencer in my boot......5 inch rooled outwards tailpipe......hopefully soon gonna be a single exit TT.......3.5 inch pipe going to the silencer from the cats that are gonna be gutted also........80 quid silencer custom made.....30 quid for the tailpipe.

Also most guys building custom systems love cash....no VAT...saving you some money.

2p's worth from me...cheers John cRISP

twin exits look better (in most cases, there is reaaaally bad example on here somewhere :x: ) make the car look more balanced

single exits sound a lot better

agreed that single exits rock, a nice big single looks great and sounds awesome. It does leave the back looking a little unbalanced though. I like twin big oval's too

The silencer I had made is 2 inch straight through...so i guess its gonna be kinda noisey......poor neighbours at 6 am when i go to work.

2 inch is pretty restrictive for a single, most twin systems are 2". You really want at least 3.

Ye I thought so too. My Mongoose has 2 x 2.5 inch pipes, right through to the back boxes

Fais, it was about 750 squid, full 3" stainless pipes from manifold back, cat replacement pipes I bought seperate tho for about 200, at first had no baffles, it was too loud they said and would attract too much attention from old bill, also didnt want a headache on motorway so they put some baffles in back boxes only.

Sounds mental defo 1 off, it sort of growls with the nice v6 sound of the engine and pops a fair bit when you let off, also has a very very unique sound which only way i can describe is like a cat purring verry loudly when u let off, it sounds like the car is breathing.

They had it for a couple of days, gave them a rough sketch of zorst req'd measurements etc.

Apparantly they can make up any shape you want, as we toy'd with a few diff designs before settling on this one.

cheers

me

p.s made a big diff on tubbies, seemed to spool up way way quicker, my friend has a hks system and said mine defo spools quicker.

John

The pipes from the cats are gonna be 3.5 inch diameter....the 2 inches i mentioned is the diameter of the hole through the silencer.

Cheers John Crisp

Can any one tell me how to remove the speed limiter ?????

The jap one (108mph)

You really want the same dia through the silencer as the pipes otherwise you get big entry losses unless you taper it down on the way in. 2" is still pretty small though. Should be OK if it's a twin system though.

Cheers John I was thinkin of getting like a funnel into the silencer so there wasnt like any build up at the silencer....i am not building the exhaust purely for performance reasons....i got all the piping for nothing with welded bends etc so a mate at work is gonna tig weld it for me hopefully making a cheap system as my finances are kinda f***** just now, i'd like to spend loads no my car but the Mrs gives me enough shit about it.

Lol, mine reckons she's going to start wearing ear plugs in mine

John

Lol.....my mrs wondered what the noise was from a scooby that flew past us on the motorway at full pelt....i was like...ffs thats the exhaust ...what else is it gonna be...but i said mine would sound like that when its done.....she just made the usual womanly uninterested pain in the arse face at me and went back to sleep.......but when my exhaust is done.....i have a minister living next door to me....so at 6am i will need to be quiet when i go to work........not.....woohoooooooooooo....lol

Cheers John Crisp

Dont believe i am asking this........has any body fitted side pipes to there cars
